How it began
Rove started in Macclesfield, when co-founders Ben and Simon found themselves discussing the complexities of international expansion. Between them, they had built and scaled global businesses, but both knew the same challenge: accessing reliable market data and trusted retail networks was costly, slow, and fragmented.
Together, they envisioned a platform that could change that. One that could bring together AI-driven intelligence, verified retailer access, and real human expertise to help brands expand confidently into new territories.
Soon after, they were joined by Adam Warburton, a leading expert in digital product innovation and data intelligence. With their combined experience in global trade, technology, and product strategy, the idea became reality. Rove launched as the first AI-powered platform designed to identify high-potential markets, verify demand, and connect brands directly to the right retail partners, all in one place.

Simon Boyd, Co-Founder
Simon leads Rove’s global partnerships with brands, retailers, and distributors. His experience spans the full supply chain, from senior roles at Kingfisher, Tesco, and Phones4U to building international businesses like CAT Phones, which reached $85 million in revenue across 60 countries, and Smoothskin, which grew to $150 million in retail sales and launched in 70 markets.
Simon’s global experience drives Rove’s mission to make international expansion faster and more predictable for every brand.
Ben Davies, Co-Founder
Ben is a serial entrepreneur with two decades of experience building technology and FMCG businesses. Before Rove, he founded Vypr, a product intelligence platform that helps leading brands make faster, data-backed decisions.
Ben brings a deep understanding of launching, leading & scaling technology businesses, and will help rapidly shape Rove into the trusted intelligence partner for brands globally.
Adam Warburton, Co-Founder
Adam is a product and technology leader with more than 15 years of experience in digital innovation. As former Chief Product Officer at Co-op and Chief Product & Technology Officer at Vypr, he has led large-scale teams and launched products generating tens of millions in new revenue.
